The German Cockroach is a small species of cockroach typically about 1.1 to 1.6 cm long. In color it varies from tan to almost black, and it has two dark, roughly parallel, streaks on the pronotum running from behind its head to the wings.
While they do not bite or stild, they do feed and live in areas that harbor dangerous bacteria, such as sewers, dumpsters, trash cans and garbage disposals. Unfortunately, they introduce bacteria into residential and commercial areas by carrying it on their bodies. Roaches are easily transported.
